Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

UPDATE COVID-19
Over the last few months you have noticed changes in our office including, calling on arrival, extra cleaning between patients, limiting the number of people in office & everyone wearing a mask as they move about the office. Our goal remains to provide care in an environment safe for families and staff.  Prior to entry for your appt you will be asked final screening questions, depending on your reply, the call may be sent to the triage nurse for additional discussion or rescheduled.    We request only 1 well individual accompany a well patient to the office.  Continue to call our office to discuss your urgent care needs, we will focus urgent care appts due to illness later in the afternoon to promote separation of well and ill patients.

The status of Coronavirus  is constantly evolving and we will do our best to keep you informed.  For up to date information call 2-1-1 or visit these websites.  https://www.healthvermont.gov/response/infectious-disease/2019-novel-coronavirus or cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html
COVID-19 testing is not available in our office.
We want to encourage families with children showing signs of cough, fever or congestion to remain home with supportive home care management.  If your child appears more ill, please call our office to discuss your concerns.
Our practice was established in 1968 and moved to its current site in 1974. We provide the highest quality healthcare to infants, children and adolescents, consistent with regional and national guidelines. The goal of the practice is to provide care for children and their families in a friendly, courteous and caring atmosphere. All of our doctors, nurses and staff adhere to strict standards of confidentiality and professional behavior.

Families who come to Pediatric Medicine select one of the physicians to be their primary pediatrician. Routine well-child visits are scheduled with that doctor. However, there may be times when a family requires advice or an acute office visit and the primary doctor is unavailable. Because the doctors, nurses and office staff work as a team they can offer assistance. The physicians frequently collaborate with each other and every patient's record is available to the other medical staff members. They can easily review ongoing medical problems, prescription medications, lab results and previous consultations.

This site will give you a lot of information about our practice but don't hesitate to contact us by phone if you have unanswered questions.
Like our Facebook page and you will get all the latest updates regarding flu shot clinics, and other important pediatric issues.
